So, tell me something, this license you have installed, how was it fifty-fifty distributed to you in the first place?

Are yous using your device inside an organization or its only something you are testing out for curiosity? When you connect to one of the accounts I mentioned, if yous accept 1 setup, you go access to the organizations resources, whether that is Substitution Online, SharePoint Online, ability to have your Office 365 apps activate automatically and save to OneDrive for Concern. Its basically all configured for you.

How about merely a brand new calculator from a major OEM that has Windows 10 Pro pre-installed?   Is that enough information to understand where I'm coming from?  I never even mentioned the word "license".  Based on this interaction It's beginning to appear that at that place just is no documentation nigh this selection.

This is a business environment.  A brand new computer from a major OEM. Turning on the PC the 1st time the One-TIME Windows 10 setup begins and the user is presented at some point with the question posted above.  I desire to know what happens with each choice?  Where is this documented, if it'south fifty-fifty documented at all?

This item customer does have Office 365 Business, a local Windows stand-alone server on the network for file/print only no local Windows Domain.  How is the user affected by each choice?  I'm not certain I want to set these up for an "organization" because at that place is no documentation anyone can locate that explains what that means other than the marketing fluff you've pasted above.   for example..  "Access to the user's organization'due south resource"..   I can go this without setting it upward as an organization..  So what's the value of choosing the organization and what undocumented restrictions are imposed on the user/organization by selecting that choice?   This customer is not interested in "saving documents to OneDrive" at this time.

'Setup for an organization' is for centrally managed networks. The network administrator would set this up, not you. Microsoft has copious information on this topic, like Manage Windows ten in your organization - transitioning to mod management but unless you're the ane administering the network, that would be totally superfluous.

In this case System is company Domain network and setup process is request do you lot want to connect that PC to be a fellow member of that Domain.

You wrote that your customer has stand-alone server and then yous should select "Setup for personal employ", because there is no Domain to which this PC tin be  connected.
